The FIRJAN System Legal Assistance Area provides legal support involving Civil, Labor, Tributary, Legislative and Environment issues by offering counseling, elaborating legal opinions and issuing injunctions in defense of collective business interests of companies operating in the state. 

The Legal Area also closely follows the development of new law projects ranging from municipal, state and federal projects and also acts as an Industry Representative at the State’s Legislative Assembly proposing and defending law projects pertinent to the industrial segment in Rio de Janeiro.

The FIRJAN System divulges information to associate member companies on the main alterations in existing legislation through publications entitled “Informe Juridico” and the section “O Juridico Responde” of the Carta da Indústria magazine, and in the on-line edition of the “Legislative Summary”. These publications may be accessed in this site in the sections dedicated exclusively to FIRJAN members.

As well as providing access to qualified information and legal counseling, the Federation promotes statewide lectures and seminars organized around the state and at local FIRJAN Regional Representation offices.
